I do understand when people do. We are mostly spoiled humans who need to know everything or we feel we will just die. I have endured severe tragedies and I for sure have questioned God where are you or where were you. This is a subject of psychological dismay. When you read psalms, your like dag David are you ever not pleading, or wondering why me. But he always found the truth, God always lead him to contentment. That has alot to do with relationship with God. The key for me is since I am defiantly a David and/or Elijah type of pouter, God tramples my enemy and sends a bird with a meal to keep me on track. I love what you said about how God can show you something and if you tell someone they will be like "is she loony". (not in those words ;-D) Again this was awesome!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06610826238806711073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3764771404643445723.post-10775877167242459832012-12-19T13:22:18.758-05:002012-12-19T13:22:18.758-05:00Well, thank you for all of that! Are we questioning Him because we truly want answers or because we think we already have the answers. I get what you're trying to say about these children being spared an evil world but it's a touchy subject. I'm friends with someone who murdered when he was younger and getting to know him and how his reasoning works has led me to honestly wonder if a version of that thought is what the killer was thinking when he went into that school. I pray that you have a blessed Christmas and New Years and every other day for that matter as well :)Jessica Clark-McDowellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14255575778051930654noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3764771404643445723.post-89184016843008659212012-12-19T11:21:34.405-05:002012-12-19T11:21:34.405-05:00You hit the nail right on the head Jessica. God i...You hit the nail right on the head Jessica. God is a righteous God, meaning he does no wrong. It's not ours to question him, but we are to serve him through it all. Tragedies like what happened in Newtown rock the faith of people and that's what God has told us will happen, the devil will find ways to try to rock our faith at each and every turn, but God has not turned his back, he has provided us with more than this world can offer. Those precious little lives that were taken are with him now in heaven, free from the burdens of sin which are death, free from the pains of this horrible evil earth. Our hearts break for those left behind, the brothers, sisters, and parents and through those emotions we often find ourselves viewing God in our earthly sense, but we can't he has a great plan for this. We embrace each other, believer and non-believer in Love, and we listen to those that are hurting, we offer our love not our answers, those are not ours to offer. Through our love and expression of God's love to them those answers will come. We are living, and have been living in a world that is falling apart and has become so far separated from God that the hopeless are performing horrible acts such as this and other shootings we see across the US. They lose their compassion and what we describe as their humanity because they have first and foremost lost their hope. As for me and my house we continue to praise our God and the words of his scripture in Isaiah 57:1 give me guidance in moments like this. Once again it's not my job as a believer to question God, so I just look to his scripture and the words "The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil." These sweet little kids, righteous in their innocence have been taken away from this evil world and spared from future evil. We as believers must be steadfast in our faith and keep our families steadfast by staying in God's word and in constant prayer for his guidance. I pray you and your family have a blessed Christmas and may God keep you and yours safe as we start a new year.McElmurry Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11668774293415948114noreply@blogger.com
