DO YOU REALLY LOVE YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER? DO THEY LOVE YOU?


"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is
not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily
angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always
hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." 1 Cor 13:3-8




THIS IS THE TRUE DEFINITION OF LOVE, ANYTHING ELSE IS A LIE!



Several years ago I was in an abusive relationship that I thought was love and the Holy Spirit brought this verse to my attention. I remember calling my brother to ask him where it was in the Bible and he told me he didn't even think it was scripture; but, I knew it was so I searched through my Bible to find it. When I did, verse 5 jumped out at me, "love is not easily angered." For years I had justified my ex's anger by saying that he just loved me so much that he could not control it; however, God showed me something much different that day. If he truly loved me, he would learn to control it because that's what true love does. If you are struggling in one of these areas and you know you are falling short, I suggest you ask God for help if you love the other person because if you struggle with any of the behaviors above, it will cause the relationship, or at least the desire to be fully invested in the relationship, to eventually end.

It's funny how God will often use my own words or lessons I've shared in my past to help me with something new. Dealing with the current situation I shared this morning , I began to waiver back and forth if the way I handled it was the correct way. Riddled with Pain

My Take: 1 of 6 things I wish I wouldn't have heard after the Sandy Hook massacre

When I first began a studying the book of Revelation several years ago, I wasn't a Bible scholar so I just simply asked God to reveal to me what He needed me to see. As I read each seal, each trumpet, each bowl, each judgment... I thought how awful! How horrible of a world to live in! Then, I began to notice that instead of those things opening people's eyes to the truth, they would shake their fists at God and dig their heels in deeper and refuse to repent.
